Besides her work as and actress and theatre maker, Mareike holds theatre and performance workshops for children, teachers and students, as well as talks on performance, acting, theatre in education and critical art activism.

Since 2022, Mareike is board member of “Bundesverband der Kulturagent*innen”

From 2021-22, Mareike had been a fellow for “Artistic Interventions in Cultural Education” at the universitity Hildesheim and the Bundesakademie für Kulturelle Bildung Wolfenbüttel, working with various organisations and practioners form the field of cultural education, discussing and creating new formats for cultural education. In frames of the course she developed an immersive performance project with a school class at Charlotte Paulsen Gymnasium Hamburg “Frag Crassula” in collaboration  with TUSCH and Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg.

2016/17, Mareike founded the Georgian NGO Aitsona-Daitsona/აიწონა-დაიწონა (the seesaw) for children’s theatre and theatre and arts in education. With Aitsona-Daitsona, Mareike has realised various cultural educational workshops for children, young people and teachers all over Georgia. Together with her colleagues, she has created a theatre toolkit for Georgian Civic Education teachers and worked on participatory arts educational projects with children in all Georgian regions.

Since 2014, Mareike has been guest lecturer at the Centre of Contemporary Art Tbilisi, teaching performance and immersive theatre
